We are a Not for Profit Technology-Transfer organization that provides communities at the grassroots level with practical entrepreneurial solutions.
We are driven by the vision of a food secure Africa where the livelihood of small scale farmers is transformed through innovative agricultural technologies that deliver results for sustainable Food & Nutrition security, Digital Agribusiness, Social Entrepreneurship and Environmental Sustainability.

VISION: Our strength lies in designing tailor made programs to fit specific need of our communities, clients and partners resulting in an effective human capital, effective systems and impactful outcomes. Most of our programs are service oriented and therefore requires highly skilled and experienced team who are committed to contributing to the social & environmental development of Africa.

To alleviate poverty, improve food security, foster good governance, and contribute to environmental sustainability through capacity building and technology transfer.

James Njane | Founding Director / CEO
James Njane has over 27 years experience in different sectors across the East Africa countries , including community empowerment programs, international professional audit firms, international not for profit organizations and management consultancy firms.
He specializes in Audits & Assurance, Tax compliance & advisory, Agribusiness value chain, Environmental Sustainability & Governance and Forensic audit. He is passionate on community transformation especially on coffee farming, championing coffee cooperatives and coffee value addation.
Ndegwa Muiruri | Founding Director & Lead of Sustainability and Governance
Ndegwa Muiruri serves as the Lead Sustainability and Governance of ASEF, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and community empowerment across Kenya. With his experience in Development Studies and Philosophy, along with International Studies it shapes his approach to driving social impact through governance, innovation, and inclusive development.
Passionate about transforming Kenya’s agricultural sector, Ndegwa is committed to expanding profitable ventures in sorghum farming, apiculture, avocado production, and livestock development. He continues to champion partnerships that connect local communities to global markets, ensuring ASEF’s mission of creating lasting social and economic change.
